At Australian Laser & Skin Clinics, we recommend treatments at one of our Melbourne clinics 2-4 weeks apart. This timeframe allows for regeneration of collagen and elastin of facial skin tissue. Effectiveness of the treatment will depend on the individual, however a course of 2-6 treatments will produce superior results. Maintenance treatments after your initial course are recommended every 1-3 months.
Side effects are minimal after a ‘China Doll Peel’, with slight redness and tingling a few hours post treatment. Temporary hair removal to the treated area can occur, and some individuals may experience a mild outbreak the week following the treatment. Lightening of facial hair can also occur as one of the Carbon Laser Facial side effects.
While zero to little downtime is needed after the treatment, you will be given some Carbon Laser Peel aftercare instructions to follow. These instructions include keeping your skin moisturised and avoiding sun exposure to the treated area.
There is no pain associated with the Carbon Laser Peel treatment. During the procedure, you may experience slight tingling and warmth on the skin, which is normal while the laser pulses away the thin layer of Carbon.

- Prepare your skin with specialised skin care products, recommended for at least two weeks prior to treatment.

- Do not use any active skin care products for 24-48 hours post treatment
- Use SPF30+ every day between treatments.
